Curriculum
Curriculum Statement
Our curriculum is varied and personalised to the needs of our pupils, based on the Early Year Foundation Stage Curriculum and the National Curriculum. Here you will find a copy of the Battledown Curriculum Framework. This document reflects our philosophy and aims, as well as describing our approach, including how teaching programmes are planned and carried out to meet the individual needs of every child within the school. Our curriculum is constantly changing, evolving and responding to new needs and reflecting our developing knowledge and experience.
Phonic reading skills are developed through Twinkl Phonics for Phase 1 followed by ‘Read Write Inc.’ scheme.
If you need any more information about the curriculum, please contact our Curriculum Lead, Leah Campbell via admin@battledown.sandmat.uk
